Italy banned music on instagram stories
Since yesterday March 20, 2023, a non-renewed agreement between Meta (the company that owns Facebook and Instagram) and the SIAE (Italian Society of Authors and Publishers) means that it is no longer possible to use music on instagram and facebook stories.

According to some press agencies consulted on the web, it seems that starting from March 16, 2023, Facebook and Instagram will implement a massive removal of content with traces of Italian music due to the failure to renew the agreement between Meta and SIAE

This means that content that uses copyrighted Italian music tracks will be blocked or removed from the two platforms.
Furthermore, one of the websites specifies that this decision will also affect content creators, as they could suffer a decrease in the visibility of their content due to the removal of Italian music from the two platforms
In summary, it does not seem that Italy is banning music on Instagram, but rather that there is a problem between Meta and the SIAE which has led to the removal of content with traces of Italian music from the two platforms.
