From June 12 to 14, 2025, Barcelona will once again transform into the global hub of electronic music, innovation, and creativity as Sónar Festival returns for its spectacular 32nd edition. With an impressive lineup of 66 artists already announced, attendees can expect groundbreaking performances, unique collaborations, and the finest in global electronic culture.
Since its inception in 1994, Sónar has stood as a pioneer in electronic music and digital culture. With over 100 editions spanning 30 years, the festival continues to break boundaries, serving as a platform for creativity and forward-thinking innovation.
The initial lineup promises an extraordinary mix of world-class acts, debut performances, and local talent. Leading the charge is Richie Hawtin with his alter ego Plastikman, delivering an immersive audiovisual experience that combines organic and ever-changing visuals.
The lineup also features global icons like Peggy Gou, Four Tet, Honey Dijon, BICEP with their new audiovisual show CHROMA, and groundbreaking collaborations like Skrillex b2b Blawan and Armin van Buuren b2b Indira Paganotto. Spain’s vibrant electronic scene is represented by artists like Andrés Campo and Yerai Cortés.
Other standout acts include Arca, Nathy Peluso, Overmono, Juliana Huxtable, and Sama’ Abdulhadi, alongside genre-defying performances from Actress & Suzanne Ciani, Max Cooper, and the mysterious Daito Manabe.
The Sónar+D program continues to explore the intersection of music, technology, and art. With projects like the European cooperative TIMES and the AI & Music powered by S+T+ARTS initiative, Sónar showcases the latest in tech-driven artistry.
This year, highlights include Max Cooper’s Lattice 3D/AV, an immersive multisensory experience, and Daito Manabe’s innovative performance blending cutting-edge technology with human expression. Other much-anticipated shows include Rone’s Room with a View in collaboration with the Ballet National de Marseille and Actress & Suzanne Ciani’s Concrète Waves.
Extending beyond the festival, Sónar Week offers a citywide celebration of electronic music and digital culture. Key events include the outdoor OFFSónar parties, the +RAIN Film Festival focused on AI-generated cinema, and a special concert at Palau de la Música Catalana featuring works by Steve Reich and Raquel García-Tomás.
Tickets for Sónar 2025 are available at exclusive prices until Sunday, November 24, 2024. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this unparalleled celebration of music, art, and innovation.
