Charlotte de Witte’s new EP arrives with a link to the places and communities that give electronic music its life beyond the studio. The Resistance was released on KNTXT on 24 September. DJ Mag reports that all proceeds from the four-track release will support the Nighttime Foundation, the international nonprofit focused on the future of nightlife.
The pledge had already been previewed before release; what is new this week is that listeners can now hear and buy the record. That distinction matters: the story is not simply another high-profile techno drop, but a release now available alongside a stated commitment to support the culture that makes club music possible.
The official Bandcamp listing makes one detail clear: although early previews described three main cuts, the finished EP contains four tracks, including an intro version of its title track.
The tracklist brings de Witte together with two collaborators and moves between the central title idea and two standalone cuts:
At just under 22 minutes, the sequence is concise but complete: three main tracks plus a shorter intro version. The official Bandcamp release page lists the collaborators and full running order.

DJ Mag has connected the EP to de Witte’s wider The Resistance project, which also includes an audiovisual live show. In its pre-release coverage, the publication reported that the title track helped inspire the show’s concept. That places the record within a larger artistic frame: the name is not just a campaign title, but a theme carried from the studio onto the stage.
The collaborators give the tracklist distinct points of connection. Theo Nasa appears on the title track and its intro version, while XSALT joins de Witte on “See Through The Lies”. “Another Place” completes the four-track release without a featured artist credited on the official listing. Together, the credits make the project collaborative without obscuring de Witte’s role as producer and KNTXT label head.
The Nighttime Foundation describes its work through three pillars: innovation, education and community. Its published initiatives include safer and more inclusive nightlife, sustainability and technology, research, mentorship, peer learning and stronger connections between nightlife practitioners and decision-makers.
That remit reaches beyond a single venue or event. The Foundation works across the ecosystem around the dancefloor: artists, curators, promoters, operators, local organisations and the people shaping policy after dark. DJ Mag quoted the Foundation’s Georgia McDonnell-Adams describing de Witte’s support as a way to turn nightlife advocacy into action.

DJ Mag reports that all proceeds from The Resistance will support the Nighttime Foundation. The official Bandcamp page confirms the release and offers the EP for purchase, but it does not publish a fundraising total, a per-stream figure, a payment timetable or a project-by-project allocation.
That leaves an important distinction for readers: the commitment is clear, while its eventual financial impact is not yet measurable from public figures. “All proceeds” should not be translated into an invented sum or a claim that a named club or local project will receive a grant. Any future accounting from the artist, label or Foundation would add the detail needed to assess the result.
Electronic music is built on more than records and headline performances. Independent venues, crews, promoters, collectives and audiences create the conditions in which scenes can grow, yet their work is often less visible than the artists on a festival poster. By attaching a prominent techno release to nightlife advocacy, de Witte puts that wider infrastructure into the conversation around the music itself.
The value of the pledge will ultimately depend on what support enables and how transparently its impact is described. For now, the verified story is substantial on its own: a four-track KNTXT release is available, its proceeds have been pledged to the Nighttime Foundation, and the Foundation’s work spans the communities and systems that sustain nightlife.
The Foundation’s work places club culture in a wider social and urban context: safer spaces, sustainable practice, research, education, and cooperation between nightlife professionals and public decision-makers. That matters to electronic music because a scene cannot survive on releases alone. It also needs rooms where people can gather, crews able to organise, and local networks that keep those spaces connected to their communities.
For de Witte’s EP, the connection gives listeners a way to consider the infrastructure behind the sound as they discover the record. The next meaningful update will be a clearer account of how the pledge is implemented and what it enables. Until then, the facts remain proportionate: the four-track EP is out on KNTXT, DJ Mag reports that its proceeds are destined for the Nighttime Foundation, and no public total or named grant recipient has been specified.
