AMNESIA’S 50TH: A 19-HOUR CLOSING FESTIVAL

Amnesia will open its car park as an outdoor festival for the first time before continuing indoors across the Main Room, Terrace and new El Taller. The 50th Anniversary Closing Festival is scheduled for 17:00 on Saturday, 10 October, through noon on Sunday.

Amnesia is turning its 50th-anniversary closing party into a day-to-night-and-back-again journey. The Ibiza club’s 50th Anniversary Closing Festival is scheduled to begin at 17:00 on Saturday, 10 October, and run until 12:00 the following day — a 19-hour window, according to the current official ticket listing.

The most visible change comes before the club doors open for the night: for the first time in its history, Amnesia says its car park will become an open-air Anniversary Area, with a stage, bars and an elevated section. The outdoor programme runs from 17:00 to 23:00, after which holders of the Day + Night combo continue inside the club. The format makes the venue’s grounds part of the closing-party experience, rather than treating the night as a single indoor session.

The event was announced in stages. Amnesia revealed the outdoor concept on 24 September, then published the full lineup on 30 September. The club says its Day + Night combo sold out in under three hours before any artists had been announced. That is the club’s own account of the ticket rush; the separate outdoor-only ticket is a different product.

One closing party, four spaces

The full ticket listing separates the programme into four areas: the outdoor 50th Anniversary Area, the Main Room, the Terrace and El Taller. Inside the club, the event therefore moves across three dancefloors, while the outdoor area supplies a distinct opening chapter before the late-night portion begins.

The outdoor stage brings together Luca Donzelli, Alisha b2b Julian Fijma, Kolter b2b Traumer and a Groove Armada DJ set b2b Max Dean. Joseph Capriati is scheduled for a sunset appearance there. The set format matters: the anniversary area is not just a warm-up stage, but a separately programmed part of the event with its own evening arc.

At 23:00, the club’s announcement says the party moves indoors for combo-ticket holders. The Main Room is weighted towards harder sounds and techno, with Deborah De Luca, Estella Boersma, Future.666, Katnada, Klangkuenstler and Nina Kraviz among the listed names; Yanamaste and Serafina are billed back-to-back.

The Terrace leans into a run of pairings that joins artists from across the house and techno circuit. Enzo Siragusa b2b Saoirse, Luke Dean b2b Locky, Marco Faraone b2b Obskür and Max Dean b2b Sidney Charles are among the scheduled sets. Joseph Capriati returns for a second appearance, this time b2b with Josh Baker at sunrise — a closing image that gives the all-night schedule a clear destination.

The fourth space, El Taller, is a new room for this edition. Amnesia lists long-time residents Jason Bye, Les Schmitz and Franco Moiraghi as its hosts, positioning the room as a nod to the venue’s own musical history alongside the larger-name bookings elsewhere.

A return to the club’s open-air roots

The car-park stage is presented by Amnesia as more than extra capacity or a new production zone. The club says the idea recalls its early years, when dancing took place outdoors beneath the Ibizan sky. A 2026 history of the venue by EL PAÍS traces Amnesia’s beginnings to 1976 and describes its roots in an open-air setting before the site developed into the club recognised today.

For a 50th anniversary, the gesture creates a neat structural loop. The closing begins outside, where daylight and the sunset frame the first six hours, then returns to the rooms that have made Amnesia a reference point for Ibiza’s club culture. The format gives the event a narrative beyond a long roster: afternoon gathering, indoor night, Terrace sunrise and a final return to daylight.

That does not make the programme a recreation of an earlier Amnesia party. The current lineup spans several generations and strands of contemporary electronic music, from techno names in the Main Room to house-focused pairings on the Terrace and local residents in El Taller. The open-air area is a new anniversary format, even as the club connects it to an older image of Ibiza nightlife. Read the history in EL PAÍS.

What the 19-hour format says about the finale

Amnesia’s official ticketing page currently lists the combo experience from 17:00 on Saturday, 10 October, until 12:00 on Sunday, 11 October. That is 19 hours. An earlier club announcement described the event as more than 20 hours, while the later 30 September article called it a 19-hour finale; the posted start and end times support the latter figure.

The length is only one part of the story. The closing combines an outdoor festival area with the club’s three indoor dancefloors, and the lineup is distributed across those spaces rather than placed on one main stage. Capriati’s sunset appearance and sunrise b2b with Josh Baker bookend the indoor-outdoor journey, while the new El Taller gives the anniversary a dedicated space for Amnesia residents.

Amnesia says its Day + Night combo sold out in less than three hours before the lineup was revealed. The claim points to demand for the event format itself, although the club has not published a final attendance figure or a breakdown by ticket type. Its official pages distinguish the combo from access to the outdoor Anniversary Area, so the reported sell-out should not be read as proof that every way of attending is unavailable.

For its 50th closing, Amnesia is making its physical setting part of the headline: the car park opens first, the club takes over after dark, and the Terrace carries the party into sunrise. The result is a carefully staged farewell to the 2026 season — one that connects a new open-air format with the venue’s older relationship to dancing outside.
